WAEL ABDIN is an entrepreneurial lawyer. He established the Sudanese Commercial Law Office (SCLO) in Sudan in 2007. From 2013 onwards the practice has been listed in Chambers and Partners Global. Since April 2015 SCLO have established a branch in the UK.

Mr Abdin advises international and city law firms, in addition to major multinational companies in Sudan. He specialises in Corporate M&A, project finance, arbitration and joint ventures. Mr Abdin has been awarded the Chevening Scholarship 2005 in addition to the International Bar Association (IBA) Scholarship for the International Practice Diploma 2008. He was among one of few African lawyers selected for the International Lawyers for Africa Programme (ILFA) in London 2007. Mr Abdin has undertaken a western education, yet has the benefit of having a full and deep understanding of how this would be applicable in developing countries. Mr. Abdin has successfully passed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme and is now currently in the process of being admitted to the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
